Working with cuneiform at UCLA

A short film on the use of original cuneiform text artifacts in instruction and research, written, directed, and produced by Erin Flannery of the UCLA Library / Department of Special Collections’ Center for Primary Research and Training Research Opportunities, should be of interest to the CDLI community. The film features the work of UCLA graduate student Sara Brumfield in the course of a summer fellowship, awarded by the Center, to catalogue and prepare for CDLI web dissemination a collection of 33 cuneiform tablets in Special Collections (the texts, through further accessions grown in number to 248 artifacts, are available here). More short films documenting the Center’s efforts to "integrate special collections materials more fully into the teaching and research mission of the university" may be viewed here
