The Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East at Harvard University (HMANE) and the Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative (CDLI), present a database of some 4710 cuneiform text artifacts in the HMANE collection (previously the Semitic Museum SM). An electronic catalogue of the full collection was provided by Richard J. Saley and Adam Aja (Assistant Curator of Collections, SM) for CDLI processing and ingest, and, with support of the Mellon Foundation funded collaboration Creating a Sustainable Digital Cuneiform Library, the cuneiform texts were digitized by UCLA staff members Lance Allred and Michael Heinle.
The Semitic Museum tablet to the right (SM 1909.05.281) contains an account of the Ur III period (ca. 2100-2000 BC) recording the activities of a trade agent from Tello, ancient Girsu.
There are 4712 artifacts of this collection in the CDLI Dataset
